Terms of Use

ScrnLimit: Screen Time Control

Effective date: October 6, 2026

These terms cover the ScrnLimit app on Android. By installing or using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.

The service

ScrnLimit helps you limit distracting apps on your own phone. You choose the apps, the daily cap, schedules, focus sessions, and whether Reels, Shorts, and certain websites are blocked. The app can pause before an app opens, show a timer, and cover an app when the cap is reached.

The block depends on Android. A cover appears only when the permissions are on and the watcher is allowed to run. If a block does not draw, ScrnLimit records that as a slip. Android can still stop the app. ScrnLimit does not promise that every open of YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, a game, a Reel, a Short, or a website will be stopped.

Your phone

Use ScrnLimit on a phone you own or are allowed to control. It is a personal limit for the person using that phone. Do not install it to monitor or restrict someone else without their knowledge and permission.

You choose the PIN, the limits, and the optional uninstall protection. Keep the PIN to yourself. ScrnLimit cannot recover a forgotten PIN. Turning uninstall protection on adds a step before removal. You can remove that protection in the app.

Emergency passes, when you still have them, are part of the product. Using one is your choice.

Acceptable use

You may use ScrnLimit for your own screen time. You may not misuse it to break the law, interfere with someone else’s device, or hide abuse. You are responsible for the apps and sites you put on the list, and for how you use the limits.

Play Store and ratings

If you install ScrnLimit from Google Play, Google’s terms also apply to the download and to any rating you submit. A rating is optional.

The app itself

ScrnLimit, its name, and its design belong to its developer. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app. They do not give you the right to copy, sell, or modify it, except where the law does not allow that limit.

No warranty

ScrnLimit is provided as is. Screen time, focus, and blocking results vary by phone, Android version, and the other apps you use. To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, that every distracting app will be covered, or that the app will meet a particular goal.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for lost time, lost data, a missed block, a phone setting you change, or any indirect or consequential loss from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes and contact

These terms can be updated by posting a new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using the app after that date, the new terms apply.
